As I passed the clearance table at Barnes and Noble, a book caught my eye, Zentangle Patterns. I added it to my stack and it wasn’t until a few weeks later I picked up the book and looked at it more thoroughly.
At first the patterns seemed daunting and far too complicated. I grabbed a post-it-note and tried my first simple string and 2-3 basic patterns, all in pencil. That wasn’t so hard after all!
Wanting to try more, I bought a ream of white cardstock and cut several 3.5″ squares. Then I sat down again with the book and tried different strings and patterns. I was amazed at the results each time. Following are what I’ve done so far.
